Happy 30th Celebration!!!
Last night we celebrated my impending 30th birthday! We had plans to meet up at a restaurant, but our babysitter flaked on us at the last moment...So amidst my mini-breakdown, my friends came to the rescue with drinks and cake and food!! We ended up having a great time....it was much better than I had anticipated!! I am so greatful for my fantastic friends :)

Blue Skies
We woke up this morning to blue skies, with no smoke! It has been a very long week for everyone here, as the kids couldn't go outside at all. The air has been full of smoke and raining ash. We all have coughs & colds from this week, but we are so happy to have better air today! Here was the moon still up at about 7:30 this morning...
After watching Jack play baseball, Colby has started to figure it all out..He goes around the house with his small bat & ball from his Aunt Hali, and he tries to hit the ball with the bat. This morning he found the big boy bat in the back yard!

Jack got to drive his car after a long week inside...

Colby's 1st Haircut

I took Colby to get his 1st real haircut today (he turned 14 months today too!)....He's had it buzzed a couple of times by daddy, but this was the first real cut....Big Brother Jack got his haircut too :) Here is the before shot.....

Fall Fun
One of my favorite parts of fall, is the leaves on the ground & watching the boys play in the backyard..Here are some fun pictures of the boys this week swinging & playing!

I had a Piggies & Paws party last weekend, where they take your child's hand or footprint & turn it into artwork. Baby Charlotte came over for the party....Her little feet were so small! She is 3 months old now & up to 6 lbs! Big girl :)

One Year Ago Today.....
One year ago today, Colby Ryan came home after 7 1/2 weeks in the NICU.....I remember that day like it was yesterday.....I love where we're at Oct 11th, 2007 much better!!!!

Texas BBQ is YUMMY!!
I spent the last three days in Dallas, Texas with my college roommate Wendy! This is the same friend I went to New Orleans with back in March. She flew me out to Texas for my birthday present, and showed me all the great things about Texas! I was really impressed & can actually see myself living there! Here we are ready to go out to the Flying Saucer..a great bar with about 100 different types of beer to choose from!

Jack really missed me over the weekend. Everytime I talked to him, he told me that he missed me, and then asked if I was still on the airplane :) (He had taken me to the airport on Friday)...I guess it would be hard to wrap your 3 year old brain around the fact that I actually got off the plane & went somewhere else!

Funny Boys This Week..
Here is handsome boy #2.....He has been doing more & more fun things this week...Yesterday morning he said "kitty" when the cat walked right by him! Then today I told him no (he was putting one of my shoes in his mouth), and he shook his head no! I love watching his language develop!
Today in the car ride home, Jackson was telling me about the "boys team" at day care. As you know, he does not like "grils," so he was telling me which boys are his friends. I asked him about one of the girls, Kendall, who is really nice & goes to his preschool too. He said, "Well......(silent pause)...Kendall wants to marry me, and I don't want to get married!" I just about died laughing! Then he asked me, "Why all you guys are married?" I told him that when you get big & you love someone, you can marry them. He said, "I'm not getting married when I'm big." Gotta love it :) In this picture, Jack is waving around his "oars" (a baseball bat & sword) to row his "boat" (the red car to the left). He really lobbied hard to get us to put the car inside the pool, so it could be a boat. We tried to tell him it would sink, but he insisted that it wouldn't. Anyway, Mommy & Daddy won that battle :)
