Baking with Nana
Jack & Nana did a lot of baking together. Jack was so excited to go buy this rolling pin, and wanted to carry it all around the store. Here he is with his prized possession! He had so much fun baking and decorating the turkey & autumn leaf cookies! I think Nana did too :)
Here is Colby watching all the baking going on!
Jack mixing the cookie dough...
Nana & Jack rolling out the dough....
A great picture of Nana & her boys!
The turkey cookie cutter...
Colby got to try one too!
Colby posing for a picture....Guess he's done this before!
Here is Colbers all tired out from a morning of baking :)
The boys got to stay home with Nana for two days, and she spoiled them rotten! She brought them both new Christmas books...here they are holding each other's books. Colby just LOVED his book--it sings a Christmas song everytime you open the book!

Fun Weekend
We have had a nice weekend....We attempted family pictures again yesterday, and I think they are going to turn out cute. I can't wait to see them! We are all looking forward to this week...Nana is flying in tonight & staying for a couple of days. The boys are so excited! At Jack's preschool they are having "grandparent day" on Tuesday, so Nana will get to go to that! And then on Wednesday---I GO OFF TRACK!! I am beyond excited for my 6 week break...I get to be a stay at home mom for a little while :) We are also looking forward to Thanksgiving at Grandma & Grandpa's house and visiting with family. I've been homesick lately, and can't wait to be there!

My new couches arrived yesterday & I just love them! These will be so much easier to care for with the boys around. Our living room feels so much bigger too!
Mr. Happy Colby....
We were cleaning out the garage Friday night to make room for the old couches, and Colby was "helping" us. All of a sudden we see these little swinging legs, and look over at Colbers. He had climbed in this chair & was swinging his legs like crazy to the music we had going. It was so cute :)
Colby has really started dancing lately. Yesterday, the song for the cartoon Caillou came on, and he stopped what he was doing & did this whole dance to the song! It was so stinkin' cute! I grabbed my camera at the last minute, and just caught a little bit! The dance consisted of some clapping, tapping feet, bouncing, and my favorite, the tush shake :)
Colby just plopped on Jack to hug him....I love that he adores Jack so much :)

Look mom--ANOTHER chair for me! You also get a good look at Colby's "baby" that he sleeps with & drags around the house. We have never had binkie babies or thumb suckers, but our boys sure like their stuffed animals!
Last night we had some friends over to have dinner & hang out..While we were waiting for them, we had dance party in our living room. Daddy busts his usual 6 foot, 4 white-boy moves, Jackson does somersaults, and Colbers shakes his booty! Love it :)
This is by far my favorite picture of the weekend! My baby doing his best dance moves...gotta love it :) I told you'd I put it on the blog baby!!Here is a fun game of "swing the boy"......

Relaxing Weekend
We hung around the house these last couple of days..it was nice to relax and just be. Here the boys & I are reading a book...
Just Colby wandering around the house, picking up anything he can find... I caught him here with some sort of cap...He's a bug-a-boo!
Colbers dumped out Jack's cheetos last night....good fun! You can't leave food around Colby at all...he's like a puppy :)
Here is Quack watching Charlie Brown...hopefully these are my last pictures with this couch. We bought new ones this weekend, that are actually good for those who have kids around...Our kids have thrashed this material so much..I'll never buy it again! Lesson learned....
Colby was just staring at the TV tonight when we were watching The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown...I thought he looked cute just standing there...
Here Colby is mad at his cup. We are trying to move him off of the bottle & onto the sippy cup. So tonight we gave him one with a straw, and it wasn't going too good for him I guess. Right before I grabbed my camera, he was laying on the ground growling at it :) Colby doesn't get mad....he just scrunches his nose at you, huffs & puffs, and growls :) You can kind of see his scrunched nose in this picture...

The Longest Day
....No seriously...it was the longest day! We woke up at 6:30, because the boys are not aware that Saturdays & Sundays are for sleeping past 7am. Then we all got ready & headed off to church to make the 10am service. On the way there, Kaleb was like, "It seems kind of quiet out." We then realized last night was turn-your-clock-back night!! So we were verrry early for church! So all day that one hour we were off just seemed to stretch the day out. At about 3:40, we all thought it should be like 7:30 :)

Colby loves clapping for himself!! He also went to my school the other night with the family, as I had to participate in the Honor Roll Assembly. As the parents clapped for the kids, Colbers clapped for them too!! I remember Jackson at this age, doing the same thing...
Yesterday afternoon, Kaleb & Colby were taking a nap, and Jackson was in his room playing--with the door shut. He came out after awhile, and I said, "What are you up to buddy?" He replied, "Oh, just making Js........(pause)....on my door." It took me a few minutes to process that, and then I asked him what he meant. He said, "Well, I said sorry!" I knew this probably wasn't good. So Jackson took me to his room & showed me how he made "Js" with his crayons on the back of his door! He then walked me through all the colors he used to make the Js...Gotta love this boy's enthusiasm for writing his letters :)
Colby had a fun weekend.....he started giving high-fives on demand, he got 2 more teeth on the top (and never even fussed), and he talked up a storm! Jack shut him out of his room at one point, and he just sat by his door saying "Ja...Ja...Ja" which is code for Jack :)
Nice job buddy!!!
Give me all your money!!!
With birthday gift certificates from my dad & Kaleb's parents, I decided to start our Christmas village. We've been talking about it since we got married...Kaleb really wanted to set it all up this weekend, so we figured--why not!
It is really pretty all lit up....

Trick-or-Treating
Here are our Red-Eyed Tree Frog and Diego on Halloween night....all ready to go trick-or-treating!
Our family on Halloween night! Guess what Kaleb & I are for halloween...hee hee... (we are worn-out parents and teachers, in need of a holiday break! Don't we pull it off well??!!)....
Here the boys are at their first house..Aunt Kristin's house, which is our first stop every year.....
Colby grabbing some candy...this was the extent of his interest in this whole Halloween gig!
Colby seemed so dejected all night! He just kind of stood there...I don'tthink he was too fond of his costume! Cutest little tree frog I've seen though :)
The boys trick-or-treating at Kai & John's house...Don't you love Jack's, oh, I mean Diego's rescue pack?! So cute..
Colby was so not into this whole thing by now (the 2nd house!), so he just sat in Kai & John's doorway until someone picked him up and took him inside.
The boys with John & Kai....Colby wouldn't take his eyes off of this glowing, moving spider decoration she had!
On our way home, we saw our friends getting home, so we stopped by to say hi. Madisyn was Cinderella this year...
Here is the tree frog outside Madisyn's house....he is just fascinated with his tongue right now!
I think the real highlight of the night, was watching Jackson hand out candy. This was the first year he really got the whole idea, and he was so excited to hand out candy. He would hand each kid a fist-full of candy, and then comment on their costume. And then sometimes he'd say, "Heeeyyy, where are your parents?" He heard Ka & I commenting on some kid we saw without their parent when we were out....Little man hears everything we say now!
Halloween Party
The boys had their annual Halloween party at Kai's on the 31st. I went to watch them enjoy themselves! Here they are on Kai's front lawn...
My gorgeous Colby Ryan....
This was pretty funny...They were playing pin the nose on the pumpkin, and I was taking tons of pictures as usual. Jackson ends up winning the prize for getting the closest. He was all happy & he won a little pumpkin. Then when I was looking at all of my pictures, I saw this one--he was peeking!! Little stinker!
Jack Jack after eating his cupcake....he thought it was so funny that he had a mustache! I see a little goatee too :)
Colbers really loved his chocolate cupcake...he devoured the entire thing!
They played bobbing for apples at the party....I thought it was pretty gross, but all the kids loved it! Here is Jack on his first attempt....
He got it!!!!
