5 Years Ago Today...
Five years ago today, my first baby boy was born! We were not expecting him to come that day, but he had other plans! It was a scary night for us, but we ended up with a beautiful baby boy! For some reason, this birthday seems so significant to us. Five. That just sounds old. We are both so proud of the big boy Jackson has become. I love his gentle soul, his need for independence & alone time, and his sweet nature. He loves life & loves to play hard! He has been that way since the beginning. I do miss those early baby days, but have enjoyed the journey the last 5 years..He is our first, so all that he does is amazing!! We love you Jack Jack!!!!!

Nana sent Jack some surprises today! She first sent him the cookie boquet, which he just loved! (We all love..can't wait to sneak one!) She also sent him "5s" for his 5th birthday :) He carried his money around all morning! He had a lot of fun spending it on Monster Trucks tonight at Target!
Jack picked out cupcakes to take into his class. His main objective was finding the "kind of cupcakes with rings on them." Mission accomplished..super bowl ring cupcakes :)
Jack's teacher had a birthday crown for him to wear today!
The awesome sign Jack's teacher had waiting for him outside their classroom door!
I got to experience circle time at preschool...Four words: God Bless Preschool Teachers!!!!

When Daddy got home, he finally got to open his presents. He opened five presents tonight, in honor of his 5th birthday! He told me this was his "monster truck face" since that present was wrapped in a monster truck bag :)
I love it.."This is what I've always been wanting!" Wow, Mommy is psychic!!
Auntie Hali stole the show with a Handy Manny backpack & a new DS game: Phineas & Ferb--his favorite show right now :)
We went out to dinner at Chili's (Thanks for the gift card Uncle Josh!). They sang to Jack & he had an ice cream...Then we went on to Target to spend his "fives." He got 6 new monster trucks, a mosnter jam obstacle course, another DS game, and a Phineas & Ferb shirt :) He did well!!
Mommy & the birthday boy!!!!!!!!!!!
Daddy & the Colbsters...Colby kept saying all day, "NO! It Colby's birthday!!!"

Monterey Trip
I am back in business with the blog :) Here are some of my favorite pictures from our Monterey weekend with Nana & Poppy, Hali, Kip, and Kenslie...
I thought Jack looked so cute watching TV in his new jacket from Auntie and holding his big dog :)
My sweet niece Kenslie...6 months old already!
Both of the boys really were intrigued by Kenslie..Jack kept asking to hold her :)
Colby wanted to hold her too...but tired of her quickly :)
I got my turn to hold the sweet girl :) My favorite niece :)
Oh, it made me miss having a baby!!!!!!!!!
We walked around downtown Monterey on Saturday afternoon. We stopped into this photography studio, where the kids could dress up in old fashioned costumes! The pictures turned out beyond cute...Here are a few I snapped as they were getting ready. I love this one of Kenslie!
Hank & Kaleb tried on some costume options :) Actually, Kaleb tried on many ensembles....I'm sure you can imagine!
My handsome outlaws....

We ate lunch at Bubba Gump's that day & had a nice time...We went outside the restaurant & checked out the ocean...

We celebrated Jackson's 5th birthday and Kipper's 3rd birthday at lunch...
Colby helped himself to Kipper's ice cream :)
Jack in Forest Gump's boots...
Trying to get this picture was a circus....this was as good as it gets!
Then we went on to this great park Devon told us about!
I thought this shot turned out really cool...

Monterey Weekend...
Well, I have run out of blog space again! This is my 3rd time using up the 1G of memory space they give me!! So I have purchased the extra storage space, but it can take up to 24 hours to process...So hopefully I can get the Monterey pictures up here by tomorrow! We had a great weekend with Nana, Poppy, Auntie Hali, Kipper, and Kenslie!
