The Longest Day
....No seriously...it was the longest day! We woke up at 6:30, because the boys are not aware that Saturdays & Sundays are for sleeping past 7am. Then we all got ready & headed off to church to make the 10am service. On the way there, Kaleb was like, "It seems kind of quiet out." We then realized last night was turn-your-clock-back night!! So we were verrry early for church! So all day that one hour we were off just seemed to stretch the day out. At about 3:40, we all thought it should be like 7:30 :)

Colby loves clapping for himself!! He also went to my school the other night with the family, as I had to participate in the Honor Roll Assembly. As the parents clapped for the kids, Colbers clapped for them too!! I remember Jackson at this age, doing the same thing...
Yesterday afternoon, Kaleb & Colby were taking a nap, and Jackson was in his room playing--with the door shut. He came out after awhile, and I said, "What are you up to buddy?" He replied, "Oh, just making Js........(pause)....on my door." It took me a few minutes to process that, and then I asked him what he meant. He said, "Well, I said sorry!" I knew this probably wasn't good. So Jackson took me to his room & showed me how he made "Js" with his crayons on the back of his door! He then walked me through all the colors he used to make the Js...Gotta love this boy's enthusiasm for writing his letters :)
Colby had a fun weekend.....he started giving high-fives on demand, he got 2 more teeth on the top (and never even fussed), and he talked up a storm! Jack shut him out of his room at one point, and he just sat by his door saying "Ja...Ja...Ja" which is code for Jack :)
Nice job buddy!!!
Give me all your money!!!
With birthday gift certificates from my dad & Kaleb's parents, I decided to start our Christmas village. We've been talking about it since we got married...Kaleb really wanted to set it all up this weekend, so we figured--why not!
It is really pretty all lit up....

Trick-or-Treating
Here are our Red-Eyed Tree Frog and Diego on Halloween night....all ready to go trick-or-treating!
Our family on Halloween night! Guess what Kaleb & I are for halloween...hee hee... (we are worn-out parents and teachers, in need of a holiday break! Don't we pull it off well??!!)....
Here the boys are at their first house..Aunt Kristin's house, which is our first stop every year.....
Colby grabbing some candy...this was the extent of his interest in this whole Halloween gig!
Colby seemed so dejected all night! He just kind of stood there...I don'tthink he was too fond of his costume! Cutest little tree frog I've seen though :)
The boys trick-or-treating at Kai & John's house...Don't you love Jack's, oh, I mean Diego's rescue pack?! So cute..
Colby was so not into this whole thing by now (the 2nd house!), so he just sat in Kai & John's doorway until someone picked him up and took him inside.
The boys with John & Kai....Colby wouldn't take his eyes off of this glowing, moving spider decoration she had!
On our way home, we saw our friends getting home, so we stopped by to say hi. Madisyn was Cinderella this year...
Here is the tree frog outside Madisyn's house....he is just fascinated with his tongue right now!
I think the real highlight of the night, was watching Jackson hand out candy. This was the first year he really got the whole idea, and he was so excited to hand out candy. He would hand each kid a fist-full of candy, and then comment on their costume. And then sometimes he'd say, "Heeeyyy, where are your parents?" He heard Ka & I commenting on some kid we saw without their parent when we were out....Little man hears everything we say now!
Halloween Party
The boys had their annual Halloween party at Kai's on the 31st. I went to watch them enjoy themselves! Here they are on Kai's front lawn...
My gorgeous Colby Ryan....
This was pretty funny...They were playing pin the nose on the pumpkin, and I was taking tons of pictures as usual. Jackson ends up winning the prize for getting the closest. He was all happy & he won a little pumpkin. Then when I was looking at all of my pictures, I saw this one--he was peeking!! Little stinker!
Jack Jack after eating his cupcake....he thought it was so funny that he had a mustache! I see a little goatee too :)
Colbers really loved his chocolate cupcake...he devoured the entire thing!
They played bobbing for apples at the party....I thought it was pretty gross, but all the kids loved it! Here is Jack on his first attempt....
He got it!!!!

Happy 30th to Me
Here are the festive flowers Kaleb & the boys sent to me at school today!
Here's another view...love the vase!
I loved the way Jack wrote on the front of my card....
Everytime Kaleb asked Jackson what he wanted to get me for my birthday, he said "a fan." We're not sure where he got that, although most of his Jacksonisms we are not sure where he comes up with them! So after enough times of that, Kaleb & Jack bought me a fan at Home Depot! Kaleb installed it last night...love it :)
So this was my present from Kaleb..There is a story behind this fantastic extension cord!! On my first birthday that we knew each other (12 years ago!), all my roommates & friends at USC were going in together to buy me a fish tank & fishies. Kaleb, being the guy that he was back then, thought it would be best to just contribute a used extension chord to the present...So now I have my very own NEW extension chord...he's forgiven :)
This is one of my favorite cards I got....

We ordered pizza and ate leftover ice cream cake tonight..a perfect night :)
Jack started this thing where he sticks his tongue out, and Colby just laughs and laughs..he just thinks it's the funniest thing!
Both boys sticking out their tongues...I just love being a mom of two boys!!

Pumpkins
Our pumpkins carved!!
Colby enjoyed the whole pumpkin carving experience for the first time! Last year he was all of 6 or 7 lbs and was sleeping :)
Jack designing his pumpkin...Daddy made a few changes :)
Here with the flash off, the pumpkins look good, but you can't see the boys!
Here is a look with the flash on....Colby was SO interested in all of this!
Our pumpkins out front....
Pumpkin Patch Fun
We finally got to go to the pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins to carve....Of course it was 90 degrees outside, but the boys still had fun...Here are my little pumpkins!
Don't they look sooo happy?! I like this pic to show their height difference...
Mama & Colby at the pumpkin patch...little red-faced man!

Jack went down a big slide..this was the best shot I got, since I only took my zoom lense....
Jackie rode the John Deere tractors (I guess that is what they are!)...He did so much better than he did on this last year--such a big boy!!

Colby checking out the hay...
Colby walking around on the hay...
Colbers checking out the pumpkins....

Ready to head home....
