We like to go to Disneyland on Jack's birthday weekend, but it was pouring rain last weekend, so we didn't make it. It was absolutely beautiful weather today (we got to wear shorts!), so we decided to go. Here is our boy in front of the flowers at the front of the park....

Disneyland

We took Colby on the "tea pots" (as Jack calls them!) for the first time today.....He liked it!

They've changed the name of Tom Sawyer's Island to the Pirate's Lair (a Captain Jack Sparrow theme). We went over & ran around for awhile with the boys...

Jack found the treasure! He had followed the treasure map & found it (more of an accident really!)...
Sweet side views...

I know he hates the hat, but man he looks cute!!!
Colby feels about hats, just as he feels about socks & shoes :) Not his favorite thing! I think his face says it all here!

Monster Truck Madness!!
Since Monster Trucks have become a huge obsession in our household, we got the boys Monster Truck jammies! Here they are with the trucks...Colby is lucky if Jack lets him touch his precious trucks! We had to get him his own, to stop the fighting!
I wonder where Jackson gets his organizational skills??!! This is how I played with my toys growing up too...just organizing them :) No, actually, Jackson plays with his non-stop. He got all of these for his birthday, and he is obsessed! In fact, he's watching the Monster Jam video as I type this! He does line them up like this when he's done though :)

Happy 4th Birthday Jack Jack!!!
I can't believe my big boy is four years old today!! I was watching the slide show we made for his party, and just can't believe he is so big now! It's kind of sad and exciting at the same time...What a joy our Jack Jack is :)
Jackson wore his "It's my Birthday" shirt, and wanted to wear his sheriff badge :)
Talking to Nana on his birthday :)
We went to Islands tonight for a cheeseburger (Jack's favorite). Here he & Big Dog are taking a break. He had a day of partying with his day care friends, and then his friends at Preschool! He got the snazzy crown at preschool :)

Colby's new favorite past time...climbing up the slide, standing up, making mommy nervous, "sliding" down (which is more like jumping)....

A heart collage Jack made at preschool....He told me, "Ms. Kenison told me to put it in my window." And you know, if Ms. Kenison said it, it must be done :)

Hot Wheels Party
We celebrated Jackson's 4th Birthday with a Hot Wheels party today at our house! He's been counting down the days ever since the beginning of January. Everywhere we went, he'd tell someone about his "hot wheels one" he was having!
He had a great time with his buddies here to play with him! I had a lot of fun preparing for this party...a car theme was pretty fun! Today was also my Mom's birthday, so it was nice for me to celebrate Jack's life today, as well as remember my mom who always threw my brother & I awesome parties! Thank you to everyone who was able to come...I know weather constraints & sickness kept some away who wanted to be here!
The whole gang at the party! It was hard to get one of everyone looking....I think this is the best one I got!

Kylie & Jack at the party :) They are becoming more and more "girlie" and "all boy" (as seen by their poses here!) Luckily they still enjoy each other. We're still holding out hope that they will get married some day :) Imagine the slide show we could put together!!
Here are some of the decorations for the Hot Wheels party!

Goody bags with Driver's Licenses, personalized for each kid! (yes, I AM crazy, and I spent about 6 hours making the darn things!)

We had a race car pinata!
I love this picture of the smiling kids! They were loving watching the pinata!
Colby loved the pinata! He kept smiling as he was swinging at it. I guess he doesn't remember doing this at his 1st birthday party :)
Cassie, Jack, and Ben swinging...
Big Dog enjoying the party :)
The cake! He had an ice cream cake this year...note the Hot Wheels candle in the corner :)
Wow--doesn't he look so big??!! He knew just what to do..he hopped up in the chair, got his cake, and got ready for a picture :)

The Grandparents went in with us to buy a bounce house for the boys! It was a lot of fun for the kids today!
Kylie, Jack, and Ben bouncin' around!
The kids held their presents and took turns handing them to Jackson!
Jackson opening presents...he got a Leapster & games, Monster Trucks, and clothes!
Colby & Keagan playing in Colby's room........
Aiden & Jack (and their dogs!).....
Jack spent the afternoon after the party was over, playing with his favorite gifts...Monster Trucks and.....
....his Leapster! So far he's played Ratatouille and Nemo! It amazed me that he was just able to start playing it right away!
