Easter Cookies
Jackson & I got in the Easter spirit tonight and baked some cookies. We had a lot of fun rolling out the dough, stamping out the cookies, baking and decorating them...We're off this weekend to Nana & Poppy's house to celebrate Easter!
We got a little messy during our cookie making..
Our final products!! We made flowers, easter eggs, bunnies, and butterflies! We had a competition to see who decorated theirs better.........Colby voted for Mommy, and Daddy voted for Jack Jack :)
Jack said they tasted good!
Colby wanted to get involved...he's pointing which "coo-keeee" he wants to eat!

Open House
Wooo hoooo!!! Open House is over! Anyone who has experienced the "joy" of getting ready for Open House, will empathize with my excitement!! Weeks of preparation for 1 hour to impress the parents.....My boys came tonight & I got to show them off, which I love to do :)
What handsome boys!
Colby in the Teacher chair :) He was enjoying being spun around....
Jack got to play hand ball with some of the "big boys" from my class...they were so good with him! Colby tried to get in on the "ball" action too..
The boys had fun drawing on my boards...

Here are pics of my boards....Here is my writing wall..They wrote about their hero and brought in a picture of that person...
My Mission Board...we did water color art of each mission, and then in the middle of the California are pictures from our field trip....
Wagon Train Journals....the kids tea-stained the pages & burnt the edges...they look so good! I really like the border on this board...it's wagon trains :)
I took photos of each kid on the jungle gym & then printed them in black & white...turned out awesome! Love my 34 kiddos!!
Square Book Reports, turned into kites.....
Diseno maps...part of California history when Mexico controlled our land....
The kids made little trees that each had an Idiom on it, and the flowers had prefixes on them...fancy tree I made, huh??!!
Random Pictures
After uploading my Open House pics tonight, I found some random pictures from the last few weeks..Here is Colbers at my Honor Roll Assembly last week.....Doesn't he look cute in the desk?!!!
We played with Emma, Abby, and Jack this week after school one day. The kids put on Easter masks and had hopping races...Jack has some serious hopping skills here....
Colby was so funny...once this mask went on, he started flapping his arms and running all around..sort of galloping...I'm not sure what was going on in his mind!! Cute though....
One evening last week, Colby kept looking down his shirt at dinner...It's the "where'd the peach go?" game :)

THe other morning I saw Colby writing (this was before the coloring the toilet seat incident), and I said to Jack, "oh how cute..he's writing." And Jack says, "Uh, do you see what he's writing on?" Turns out it was the checkbook :) I love that Jack has mine & Kaleb's sarcastic sense of humor already...
I went to one of my favorite craft fairs last week, and found these cute popcorn bowls. I could put each person's name on the bowls, so I got one for each of my boys....They all love popcorn! They are 3 different sizes too :)

Colby's Artwork
Tonight Jackson was in taking his bath, and Colby was supposed to be picking out a book for Mommy to read...Well, I went to find him, and found him in the bathroom, making some art!!! So I guess this is Colby's first official artwork for our house :)

Clapping for himself for his design!!

See my hands mama!!??
Beautiful Weather
I really love this time of year....We can come home from school and just play in the backyard until it gets dark...The weather was so nice today, so we had fun playing baseball, Nascar, and riding bikes! Here are a few of my favorites of Colbers today....

He claps for himself all the time now...My boys have never suffered from low self-esteem :)
I just love this picture for some reason....
"ooohhhh...ball"
Colby's lil stinker face....
No More Training Wheels!!
Jack has been wanting to ride his bike without the training wheels, so Daddy took them off this afternoon....He had a lot of help getting those wheels off!
Daddy pushing Jack to get him started....
There he goes!!!
He did a little crashing too :) He was a good sport about it...
Daddy explaining how to start on his own....
Giving it a try!
