2 is So Fun!!
I think that 2 is my favorite age! Colby is so fun right now, and I remember Jack being the same way (4 1/2--NOT my favorite age! lol). No, they are both really fun right now...I just love watching Colby's language continue to develop...He understands & says so much now, it is fun. I feel like he is a real little boy now, and moving away from babyhood...Sad in some respects, but overall, I am excited to watch him grow & develop. Today in the car Kaleb sneezed & Colby says "bless you." Totally unexpected! He does that to us all the time; just says something we didn't know he could say! He shows us over & over again what a smart, happy little man he is!!

While Jack & Daddy were playing "pitch" baseball, Colby set up the T and was hitting the ball..He was all excited :)
This afternoon he came running out of Jack's room with this sombrero on, and hopped right on his bike!! So cute...He's been trying to figure out how to ride it lately.
The 3 boys were running around our kitchen/living room...Here Daddy scared Colbers!!
"Fo Fo" (flowers)... "Appooooo" (apple)...then we told him it was a Lemon, so he said "yemon"!!!
Toddler Big Boy Bed!!
We decided to take the front off of Colby's crib this week. We did this for Jack at about 2, so we thought we'd try it. He has done really well! He only gets up about 2 times, and he just stays in his room & announces, "I'm dooonnne!!!" We tell him to get back into bed, and he does it!! Who would have thought??!!
Showing Mommy his new big boy bed!! We bought this Cars bedding for Jack when he was younger, but then we ended up getting him his real big boy bed, so Colby could have his crib...So it was brand new for Colbers!

Beginnings & Endings...
Today has been a weird day. I started my new school year, my 6th year of teaching already. But sadly, Princeton died this weekend. He went missing on the 4th, and we searched all weekend for him. Our neighbor found him in his yard & brought over his collar last night. It has been a sad time for Kaleb & I. He was our first baby, and we loved him so much! We will miss you Prinney...
A new beginning for Jackson. He passed his first swim level, the Frogs, and will now be going onto the Goby class. We are so proud of him!!

Happy 4th of July!!
We had a very mellow 4th this year...I usually anticipate the day, as this is one of my favorite holidays. This year it just snuck up on me! The Herticas came over to join us. We were all really tired...and the kids were too :) Jack & little Kaleb have been sick with fevers this week, so everyone just hung out & relaxed.
All four of the munchkins...
The kids played in the backyard in the small pool & the water slide...They had moments where they got along :)

Everyone hanging out on the swing set...

We got out the big water/bouncey slide. All the kids had a great time with it!

My fun jello dessert I made!
4th of July Parade
We went to the parade again on the 4th...It actually wasn't as hot as usual this year. We took our easy-up, blanket, and snacks and had a great time!

I have a picture of Kaleb & Jack just like this from 2006....Jack was wearing this same shirt & I was pregnant with Colbers!
Baby came to the parade too, and was holding Colby's flag for him :)
We met up with John, Kai, and Kristin at the parade!

New Car For Daddy!!!
With the gas prices they way they are, we couldn't afford the gas on Kaleb's 4Runner anymore, since he commutes so far to work. So we got Kaleb a new Corolla that will get 35MPG! He is really excited!
Daddy in his new ride...
The boys hopped into their seats & are ready to go to the parade!

Our Cruise to Mexico
To celebrate Ka's impending 30th birthday, we went on a cruise this weekend with Angela & Eric. We had a great time! Kaleb & I usually miss the kids like crazy when we are away & want to come home early. This trip was so great, that we just enjoyed ourselves the entire time. We will definitely take a cruise again! Here is a pic of our ship (I didn't take this!!)
After we got on board on Friday afternoon, we had to go to this drill to practice in case of an emergency, how we would leave the boat. Here we are "practicing" how to put on our life preservers :)

We went up to the deck when the ship was leaving the Long Beach port. It was pretty amazing!

Ang & I went down to the pool deck & had our first drink. It was one of those yummy ones, that you can't taste the alcohol :) The dangerous kind....I think the boys were at the Casino..
We surprised Kaleb at dinner & had a cake delivered...Everyone sang to him :)

This was our animal the first night....I guess this is a cruise thing...the steward of your room makes an animal each night out of towels :) Angela & Eric's steward was way better than ours! They got cool animals!
Day 2 of the cruise (Saturday) had us at port in Ensenada, Mexico. We only got off the boat for about 2 hours, because Ensenada isn't the nicest place to visit!

We went to Papas & Beer, which is a famous bar in Mexico. The waiters can get really crazy. Ang & I were pretty happy to be out of there by the end of it!

We had to have at least one beer, even though it was about 10:30 in the morning...

We went to this gift shop called Habana Cabana, where we got gifts for the boys. They have a whole monkey theme, which fits our boys!

This is us back on the ship, when we were about to leave Mexico & head back onto the seas....This flag was truly amazing--it was SO big!
While Ang & I laid out, the boys played games on board....
They entered a ping-pong contest too! They were both knocked out in the first round :)

That evening was Formal Night, where everyone dressed up. It was a fun night!

Our animal our 2nd night...
Day 3 of the cruise (Sunday) was a "day at sea." I spent the first half of the day sleeping, because I had taken something to make me not get seasick, and instead it knocked me out. The 2nd half of the day, Ang & I laid out and the boys kept themselves busy swimming, playing shuffleboard, and gambling at the Casino.

Our last night, we spent some time on the deck, watching the ocean.

Each night, you sit at the same table for dinner and have the same waitress taking care of you. Ours had a long, Vietnamese name (probably about 15 letters long!), but she told us to call her "knock, knock." You can imagine how much fun Kaleb had with this :) Anyway, Kaleb thought we should "knock" in our picture the last night with her...she thought it was funny!

They take your pictures on the ship each day. Here is the one of us getting on the ship....
Here is the one of us disembarking in Mexico...
