Wow, September already. 2008 is flying by. I am excited as we move into fall (although weatherwise, it doesn't feel like summer is done!). I love, love, love fall. Pumpkin patch, halloween, decorations, pumpkin carving....all so fun! Kaleb started his new school year this week. He started his 9th year of teaching, and switched to 5th grade this year! I went back to work too, and as I had hoped, my 24 boys matured a little bit! Jack had his first week of 3 days of preschool, and is loving it! Colby is getting back into the routine at Kai's and being a good boy :) We also went to church today & want to start getting back into that routine. We signed Jack up for AWANA on Wednesdays at the church & Kaleb is going to volunteer....Oh, and as for me--I chopped my hair yesterday! It's shorter than I would like, but change is good sometimes :) I thought we all looked so nice today, that I wanted to get a few photos in our gorgeous front yard Daddy worked hard on all summer!

1st Day of Preschool
Jackson started preschool today! He is so excited & ready to learn. We went to "meet the teacher" yesterday & got to talk with his teacher, Mrs. Dalton. Kaleb & I really like her & are excited about this year. She is really experienced and seems to have a great feel for helping kids learn, no matter what level they are at. Here is a picture of them yesterday.
The kids started playing together right away. He has 6 boys & 4 girls in his class this year.
Jack with his nametag....Look at that precious face!!!
Colby sat right down & started playing, as if he's going to stay :) When we left, he kept saying, "Where's Jack?" I think he thought we forgot him there :)
Jack & Madeline are in the same class again!
This morning we went to Albertons to order Colby's cake for his party this weekend, and Robby Gordon's NASCAR was out front of the store! Jack Daniels (one of his sponsors) was there promoting the car (and their booze!), as the race is in So Cal this weekend. Jack was SO excited to see a REAL NASCAR!!! We are also going to the Angels game tomorrow night, where more NASCARS are going to be!

Northern Cal Trip
We spent the last week up north visiting Nana & Poppy. We drove up this year, as it's just too expensive to fly all four of us. We drove up last Tuesday, on Colby's birthday, and it took us about 9 hours. The boys did GREAT on the way up there, to our surprise! The drive home was more difficult, but we survived. Here are some of my favorite pics from the last week. I've uploaded the rest on the link at the right, called Northern Cal trip. Thanks for a great time Nana & Poppy!
Getting in "Poppy's Bus" to head over to Reno...
