This last weekend Grandpa came down to help Kaleb work on our garage project. They worked hard all day Sunday & got it about 75% done.....We're getting closer!! We're still hopeful to have this ready by Thanksgiving....Once we get the rest of the ceiling up, we can tape/texture the walls, and then get carpet put in!! I can't wait to have extra space :)

Today was Jackson's Preschool Harvest Carnival. He has been so excited about it all week! He got all dressed up in his racecar driver costume! Daddy was presenting at a conference today (Go Daddy!), so Aunt Kristin & I took the boys....We all had fun!

Today we went to the Pumpkin Patch at Cal Poly Pomona. We didn't buy pumpkins when we went to Riley's Farms a few weeks ago, so we thought we'd get them now. We went with the Hughes Family & had a fun time! We got two good pumpkins too :)

For some reason this week seemed really long! Kaleb survived parent/teacher conference week (I'm up this next week). Here are some random shots from the week...Today Kaleb bought Colby a beta fish. Colby really loves the fishie Nana has, and he has been wanting one of his own. Colby loves to look at him every chance he gets! He has been calling him "fishie" and "Nemo." I'm sure the fish will answer to either name :)
Jack studied the letter "P" this week. He took in his "pointer" finger he got at a teacher store with me this week :) He told me, "Mommy, I HAVE to have this." Love it...He did not however, want to do his homework this week. They don't require it & encourage parents not to make the kids do it if they don't want to. I don't exactly agree with that philosophy, but I figured it is just preschool, so he didn't do it. I was telling him how next year in Kinder, it won't be optional. He said, "Oh, I wish God would change that rule." I'm thinking God doesn't really had much say in the Kindergarten homework policies :) lol....

And here we were on the Monsters Inc ride that day....I can't believe how much Jack has changed in 2 1/2 years!
Here is our big boy today, at 4 1/2 yrs old, with his Daddy!Thursday, October 9, 2008
When I picked Jackson up from preschool today, here is how our conversation went: "Mommy, when you get home Daddy has a surprise for you! I can't tell you what it is. But here's a hint: It has four legs. And it starts with the sound "k." And it's kind of like a dog. Mommy, do you want a dog? How about 2 kittens? But I can't tell you." Don't you just love it?!!
When I got home I got an early birthday present--2 new kittens! They are "bruders" and are 4 months old! Their birthday is June 21st. Jack had named them "red" and "blue" but we worked on new names :) The kitten with the blue collar is named Jude. One of my top 5 favorite moments in life (beyond my engagement, wedding & births of my boys) was standing in the rain at 1am, singing at the top of my lungs "Hey Jude" as Paul McCartney played! It was a truly awesome experience. And to keep with the Beatles theme, we named the kitten with the red collar Abbey, for Abbey Road, a great Beatles album. I'm still working on middle names, which will most likely be USC related :) They chase each other all over the place! It's really sweet...
This is Abbey...He is a little bigger & friendlier...
