Yeah! We have a ceiling!!!!!!!! On Tuesday we had the day off & Eric came over to help Kaleb finish the ceiling. They seemed to have a pretty good time & Kaleb's back didn't end up hurt as it usually does! So we are feeling that the end is near....We are still shooting for our Thanksgiving deadline!!

Kaleb & Eric wrapping up for the day...
You can see in the back corner of the wall, we are starting the "taping & mudding" part of our walls. The plan is for us to finish taping & mudding the entire room this weekend. Then my dad will hopefully come down the next weekend to get our walls textured & painted!!! JUST in time for Thanksgiving :)

Preschool Happenings...
Jackson brought home some fall leaves that he was supposed to decorate for a project at school. He wanted to use glitter glue, so that is what we did! I can't wait to see what the project looks like! Also, for the Christmas Program, he is still the non-talking drummer boy, but was asked to take on another role too. He is now the architect (he told us he was "the guy who draws things"). Apparently he now has lines to practice. Shouldn't be hard, since he already has everybody else's lines memorized, and he tells us who goes before & after each other in the play. He is a freak of nature with his memory!
This is how I found Colby that day....staring at the TV (probably Caillou was on!) and holding his sidewalk chalk box :)

Day Out with Thomas
We went to Day Out with Thomas today at the Perris Railroad Museum. Today was probably the first thing we really did for Colby. Things we usually do (Angels games, Disneyland, etc.) are usually lost on Colby. He just goes along for the ride, and Jack really enjoys himself. Today was all for Colbers! He loves "Thomas Choo Choo" and was so excited from the second we got there! It was awesome to see him so into something :) Jack was the same way when he was 2 & we brought him here!

Colby telling me about Thomas Choo Choo!!!!
Here we are in line, waiting to get on Thomas!! Colby could hardly contain himself!

"Hi Thomas Choo Choooooo!!!!!!"
Thomas rolling by us....
The boys had a fun train ride!

After the trade ride, we hit up the gift shop & got some Thomas items...Then the boys were playing in this little wooden train that they could climb in. Here is Colbers ringing the bell..
Jack trying out his whistle on the train!
Daddy bought the boys train whistles! Here he is showing the boys how to do it!

Happy 2nd Birthday Kaleb!!
We went to (lil) Kaleb's 2nd Birthday party today! He had a pirate theme & a good time was had by all :) We are so amazed that Colby & Kaleb are 2 already...time has flown by!
Kylie & Jackson....a few short months away from being 5 years old!
Kaleb & I messing around with the new lens....Kaleb can't keep his eyes open in a picture of us to save his life :)
We have this race track too, but he never plays with it. At their house, he loved it. Go figure! He kept yelling "Go Tony!!" and watching the car go around & around. (Tony, meaning Tony Stewart of NASCAR; don't ask me why he's chosen this name as his favorite. Maybe he likes orange??!!)
Singing Happy Birthday to Kaleb!!
I love the colors in this picture! Jackson is ready for his cake :)
Jack & Kylie had a little fight today...She wanted to sit together & he wanted his own chair :) I'm sure there will be many more of these in the years to come! Here she is pleading her case....

This Week in the Thompson House....
It's been a long week around the Thompson house.....Just busy I guess. I've come down with Bronchitis & am now on antibiotics. I have been so exhausted lately....worse than normal! I know now that is a sign of bronchitis! Colby has had some trouble adjusting to the time change--waking up at 5:30 each morning, ready to go!! Jack has been our steady Jack! You can always count on Jack to just be normal, whatever that is :) We have some fun things planned for the weekend...Date night for Ka & I (YEAH!!!), Kaleb Hertica's 2nd birthday, and Day out with Thomas..should be fun...hopefully Mommy can hang :)
Jackson's letter of the week was "N" and he brought in his Nascars as his share toy :) He wanted to take just one (Junior of course!), but Colby insisted he put all of them in his share bag! Jack's preschool has also started practicing for their CHristmas program. Jackson told us he is "the drummer boy, because I don't want to talk." WHO'S BOY IS THAT!?!?!?!
Jack graduated to the "Sting Rays" class at swim. They say it's a lateral move, just in the bigger pool, so he can swim farther. He's the youngest in his class (the others are 1st graders) so he's kind of out of place. We'll try it another week & see how he does. He really seems to like it though! We learned this last week that he can hold his breath for 10 seconds. I have no idea what is good for his age, but I was impressed!
Colby didn't want his picture taken this day...I was practicing with my new wide angle lens & caught him reading the Photoshop manual...he's so smart :)
The kitty cats sleeping....a rare moment. They are pretty hyper. They don't trash things like the dog did, but they're running a close 2nd in the annoying department with knocking things over & carrying things from room to room. I think they egg each other on. Most of all, they like to play all night, which wakes up Colby, which wakes up Daddy, which wakes up Mommy, etc....Good times!
