Last Day of Preschool for the Year
Jackson had his last day of preschool for the year on Thursday. It is so hard for me to believe it is already over. He had such a wonderful year at Circle City. I am glad that we found this preschool for him. Mrs. Kenison gave him a great introduction to school, which is so important to Kaleb and I. Jack and I went out to lunch togther, and then went to wait out front of his preschool. Here is a picture of my handsome boy!! It was so great to experience preschool with him today. As I watched him & listened to what his teacher had to say about him, I was just thinking how alike he & I are. It's amazing to see your children show your characteristics!!
Kai took a picture of Jack & I that morning, because I was stuck on jury duty, and didn't know if I'd make it to his party. I was SO happy that God worked that one out for us, and I was able to attend!!!
As a goodbye gift, they made these folders and inside was a class picture and a picture of Jackson at school. I really love it :) The green paper was his nametag that was in his cubby all year.
The kids sat on the carpet (Jack on the "J" and Kayla on the "K", just the way he likes it!), and sang some of their songs for us. It was very cute :)
Mrs. Kenison had written out a little card about each kid. She had written her ideas about each child, what they said they liked most about school, and what they said they wanted to be when they grew up. Jackson was up first, and he was about as uncomfortable in front of the group, as his mommy is!

So he told her that he wanted to be a baseball player when he grew up (better than "be in a motorcycle gang" as he told me last week!), and that his favorite part of preschool was "going outside." Here were her nice words about Jackson:

"Jack is my quiet leader. He loves to problem solve, and is always ready for a challenge. He is also very caring, understanding, and patient. I see him following in his parents footsteps an becoming a teacher."
Next we ate muffins together :)
Jack and Kayla had to sit by eachother, of course. Some little girl tried to sit by her, and she said, "No, I am sitting by Jack." Mrs. Kenison said that while Kayla has been playing "coy" all year with Jack, she gave in this last week & let him like her :)
One last picture of Jack with Mrs. Kenison!
This was so sweet. I told Jack to say goodbye to Kayla, and he put his arm around her :) He put it there, then pulled it back, then put it around her again...like he wasn't sure if he should do it :) It was so adorable!! After this picture, they hugged goodbye, and he leaned in and kissed her on the forehead!! I about died....I don't know where he got that idea, but it was super sweet :)
Hmmm..I think she's trying to impress him here. He's a guy--it worked :)
Playing with his friends before the day was over..
