Crazy Day!!!!!!!!
What a crazy day! I was going off track today and Jackson had his first dentist appt! At about 11:45 an earthquake hit! At first I thought it was just minor, but then it kept going and all my kids in my class got under their desks. I was really proud of them for doing what we've practiced all these years. Then the entire school went out to the field where everyone would be safe. It was kind of a crazy experience! I guess the epicenter was in Chino Hills, which is only about 10 miles from us here! It was a 5.4 magnitude I hear. I guess at Colby's day care, some of their glass things fell off of shelves & shattered...I guess my Colbers was scared & crying :( One of the moments when it stinks to be a working mom...Jack was at home with Daddy & they went out into the backyard. I guess one of our pictures fell off the wall!

On a really good note, Jack's dentist appt went super well & he has no cavities! I am thrilled, as I've been worried about that! The dentist said he has healthy teeth--yeah!

Here are a couple of pictures of our yards that Kaleb has been working hard on all summer....

This is the "before shot" of our side gardens in our backyard...
And here is what he got done today!!! It is going to look awesome when the entire perimeter looks like this!

Our front yard has really been neglected over the last year...it looks amazing now!! Kaleb put in many new plants in the front & back yards this summer...

Happy 30th Daddy!!!
Just in case we hadn't celebrated Kaleb's birthday enough this summer, we went to Sea World today!! We had a really great family day. Happy 30th Ka!!
We were really looking forward to taking the boys to the "Bay of Play" Elmo area, since Colby really likes him now...They had so much fun running all over the place. Kaleb & I really got a workout on this climbing contraption they have!
Here are two sweet pictures of my boys.....

We got to meet Elmo in the Bay of Play area...We weren't sure how Colby would react, but he ran right up to him & gave him a big hug!!

We decided yesterday to book the "dine with Shamu" for lunch time. It was really worth it! We had a front row seat and got to watch Shamu (well Corky really..there isn't a real Shamu anymore)..It was really fun!
A cool shot of Corky during lunch.....

We were looking forward to seeing the Manatees, since that is what Colby's "baby" is. Here he is checking them out..He said "baby--night night." lol....One of the greatest moments of the day was Colby seeing all the stuffed animal manatees. THis is where we got his "baby" last year, so there were just tons of them on the shelves. He picked one up and you could just see the wheels turning in his mind!! He was trying to figure out why it was so soft & fluffy!!
"Let me see...does this FEEL like mine?!" This is exactly what he does to his baby...he flips him over, holds him by the tail, and puts him up to his face...This is how we know he is tired :)

We went through the Polar Bear exhibit...this cave had roaring polar bears--both boys were scared to crawl in there with Daddy!
We watched this Cirque de Sol show at the end of the day. I looked out across the bay, and saw the bridge I had to run across in my marathon, at Mile 21!!! I remember I ran all around Mission Bay & right past Sea World...
Potty Training already??!!
I have been avoiding potty training...I know that it's still early, and it just took us so long with Jack. So I have just been pushing the idea out of my mind when people ask me about it. Of course, Colby has decided he wants to be a big boy like Jack! So he'll tell me "poo poo" and then run to the bathroom! He doesn't sit there long, but I think he just likes the whole process of sitting on the pot! I wouldn't say we are offically potty training, but if the little man is ready, then I guess mommy better get ready. Maybe it will go better this time around :)

"Super" 30th Birthday Party!!
Saturday night we had a surprise 30th birthday party for Kaleb! My brother took him out for "a beer" (or 7!) and Karen, Ang, Eric, and I got it all ready! I think a good time was had by all. I didn't get pictures of everyone, as I was just having a good time & not worrying about pictures. Thank you to Mark who picked up my camera every so often & got some good pics!

This was the shirt I had on the front door....This was the whole inspiration for the Superman theme :)

Jack was so excited for the "surprise" part!!! Here he is waiting for Daddy!
Colby had some goldfish while waiting for Daddy to get there!
And he's here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jack was so into it!

Kylie & Jack used to do this when they were this age :)
The awesome cake!!!
We had about 8 kids over & they had a fun time playing!!
We forgot to get a family shot during the party, so we got one late at night after everyone left...

Fair
Sunday afternoon we went to the fair...There were a billion people there, but we had a great time anyways. Fair food is always yummy too!
Colby was WAY into the animals at the fair! Here he is talking to a lamb...he is yelling at him, making what he thinks is the lamb sound :) Then he started snorting at him, like he was a pig. We are still working on the farm animal sounds :)
Jack wasn't as into the farm animals....Once again I realized how old he is getting...sigh....(oh, but not too old to be pushed in a stroller the whole time!)

Our family on the Big Ferris Wheel....taken by us :) It took a few shots to get all four of our heads in there!
Random Pictures
Here are some random shots of the boys lately. Here is a man after my own heart---he loves to vacuum!! I vacuum like 3 times a week (sometimes everyday when I am home), because I just love it..I know, weird....Colby gets all into it & vacuums entire rooms by himself!!
We went over to play at Luke's house a couple of weekends ago. Here Jack & Luke are in a debate about the rules of tag. It's a very complex game, you know :) One night Jack & Kaleb were out, and I got time with just Colby. He had his "mine, mine" which are M&Ms :) He was so cute eating them at the table!
Colby has become obsessed with Elmo these days. He just loves this new shirt Daddy got for him! He points to it & says "ELMO!!!!" I think when we go up to visit Nana & Poppy at the end of August, we'll have to have an Elmo birthday celebration for Colbers :)
There is a lot of "monkey see, monkey do" in our household...good fun!

She had really cute decorations at the party...
